Georgia Mactaggart

Founder and Principal

Georgia founded Office of May in May 2024 (hence the name)

to address Australia’s housing crisis through prefabricated construction, delivering faster, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions. Passionate about tackling inefficiencies and reducing construction waste—responsible for 40% of landfill—her work combines innovation and artistry.

Originally from Toowoomba, Queensland, Georgia holds a Master of Architecture from Bond University and a Bachelor of Architecture with Distinction from RMIT, where she graduated in the top 2% and earned the Vice Chancellor’s Award. She honed her skills at leading firms, including Those Architects in Sydney. Her designs reflect a deep respect for community, nature, and challenging norms, earning accolades like the Pop-Fink Fine Art Scholarship and

Ruth White Art Prize.

With over 15 years of experience, Emma brings a global perspective shaped by her work in San Francisco, New York City, and Sydney, as well as her current role as Design Lead at Butterwood. Her Queensland upbringing, rooted in Toowoomba and Brisbane, inspires her designs that harmonise nature and lifestyle.

Emma’s thoughtful approach ensures every project enhances its environment and users’ lives. Recently, her project ‘Goodhope’ at Those Architects was shortlisted for the NSW Architecture Awards. Now based in Brisbane, Emma combines technical expertise with a commitment to meaningful design.

Millie Youngman

Millie brings fresh innovation and technical skills to the team. She holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Sydney, with a high distinction average and international experience from Politecnico di Milano.


Her four years at Fender Katsalidis Architecture span multi-residential, commercial, and urban master planning projects. Recognized with the Cantilever Award for excellence in design and outstanding performance, Millie is highly skilled in ArchiCAD and Adobe Suite. Her dedication extends to initiatives like architectural tutoring at St Andrew's College of the University of Sydney.
